The payment schedule
What is payable, and when
- On booking
- A part payment (acompte) of 30%, by bank transfer when the agreement is signed
- The balance
- By bank transfer, 72 hours before arrival
- Security deposit
- €600, by bank transfer, with the balance
- Return of the security deposit
- By bank transfer, within 8 days of departure
- Cleaning
- €40 flat rate, payable locally at the start of the stay
- Tourist tax
- The tourist tax payable to the town of Saint-Malo is €1.35 per day per adult, paid locally; free for children
One word that matters
A part payment, not a forfeitable deposit
The sum paid on booking is an acompte under French law: the booking is firm on both sides. Whoever withdraws remains bound, and the other may require performance of the agreement or claim damages.
We do not offer cancellation insurance: it is worth checking the cover provided by your bank card.
